Hyundai Santa Fe is a mid-sized family-friendly 5-door crossover sports utility vehicle built for the pleasurable and comfortable driving journey experience. It is a Southern Korean manufactured SUV presented for the first time in 2001 and successfully competed with the Ford Escape and Pontiac Aztek. It is the best-seller SUV with a wide appeal and demand among customers in the United States and all over the world. This modern and urban class city crossover SUV is presently based on the three successful generations.
The 1st generation model was introduced in the market in April 2000 popularly known as Hyundai Santa Fe Classic based on the Hyundai-Kia Y4 Platform and built with the front-engine, front wheel drive with a suitable choice of four-wheel drive layout design structure. It had multiple power trains engine variations such as 2.4 L Hyundai engine I4, 3.5 L Sigma V6, 2.7 L Delta V6 gasoline, and the 2.0 liters of diesel fuel engine with fuel-efficient performance. It was also powered by 4-speed to 5-speed automatic and 5-speed manual transmission.
The 2nd generation model was launched on the 18th April 2006 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, USA. It offered a contemporary style aggressive design look with a more adventure and leisure fun drive for customers.
The redesigned and renewed version of Hyundai Santa Fe unveiled on the 4th April 2012 at the New York Auto Show. It presently features 2 trim levels including Santa Fe Sport and the Santa Fe.
